Nowhere for bacteria to hide
In a conventional toilet, the flush runs through a channel and holes hidden under the rim, and that is exactly where dirt and bacteria build up and are hardest to remove. VitrA Rim-ex has no such channel and no holes: the inner bowl is fully open, and every point can be seen. As a result, Rim-ex retains 95% less dirt than a standard toilet, and cleaning becomes much easier. In tests conducted by Akdeniz University, VitrA Rim-ex proved 95% more hygienic than standard toilets.
Patented three-point water distribution
The patented bowl design of VitrA Rim-ex distributes water from three points. A diverter at the back of the bowl splits the flush into three channels and directs it evenly over the whole surface, so no area is left untouched by water with any flush. The result is 25% higher flushing performance than standard systems and a new level of hygiene. The diverter simply pulls out for cleaning and pushes back into place.
What is VitrA Rim-ex?
VitrA Rim-ex is a patented flushing system built on rimless toilet technology. A rimless toilet has none of the inner flushing channel that conventional toilets have: instead of a channel and holes, the bowl is open, so the hidden places where dirt and bacteria collect disappear. The inner surface of the toilet is easy to see and just as easy to clean. The patented flushing technology carries the water to the whole bowl, so every flush is effective and every use is hygienic.
Works with different concealed cisterns
In rimless toilets with VitrA Rim-ex technology, the flush water pressure can be adjusted as needed. The flow rate is set on the water distribution rosette at the back of the toilet, so the toilet can be used with a range of concealed cisterns. This helps keep flushing performance at its best under different plumbing conditions. Rim-ex suits homes, hotels, offices and busy shared washrooms: anywhere hygiene and easy cleaning matter.
