What is VitrA Clean?
VitrA Clean is a special surface technology that covers the entire ceramic surface with a water-repellent layer. Water and dirty water cannot spread across it, so dirt finds it hard to cling, the surface cleans more easily and keeps its good looks for longer. The technology was developed by VitrA's Innovation team. It can be applied to washbasins, WCs and bidets, whatever the colour or model of the product. Because the layer fuses with the surface during production, it makes daily care easier and reduces the need for strong cleaning chemicals.
How does VitrA Clean work?
On standard ceramic surfaces, water droplets spread out, and over time dirt, limescale and soap residue can cling to the surface. VitrA Clean stops water from forming a thin film on the surface: the droplets do not spread but keep their round shape. On sloping surfaces gravity makes them roll away, and they take the dirt on the surface with them, which creates a self-cleaning effect. As a result, cleaning is faster and takes less effort.
